Board of Directors

Group CEO - KCS Group - Alan Snell

Alan is the Group CEO of KCS. He has 19 years experience in the IT industry, predominantly in senior management positions.

He has led the 1999 MBO (Management Buy Out) team for KCS and has taken the business through one of the most challenging markets the IT industry has ever faced. During an extended period of market decline, Alan led KCS to achieve consistent growth both in terms of market share and revenues.

Alan leads a team focused on client service and delivery. He is well known throughout the company's extensive client book. Alan has been the lead architect for the development of the KCS software suite and is Chairman of the UK Progress User Group.

Alan recognized, over three years ago, that there was increasing interest in the market place for outsourced solutions. He led the acquisition of what is now KCS Connect and has encouraged and assisted its development and significant growth since acquisition.

He is therefore wholly supportive of the new strategic objective of leveraging the KCS client base for much greater service penetration linked to an acquisition strategy which will considerably accelerate the growth in overall service revenues.

Alan's role is twofold; firstly leading the KCS MS business to accelerate new client wins and ensuring that the product both sustains and enhances its excellent reputation in the market place. Secondly, working with Andrew, Alan leads the development of our technology strategy as the group goes forward to build further scale around the outsourcing business.

Director of Outsourcing Services - Andrew McErlain

Previously CEO of the International Employment Practice for PwC Europe (generating gross revenues of $200m): Member of the Global Human Resources Board (GHRS) for PwC.

Andrew led the development of the international employment practice firstly in PW and then post merger in PwC for a period of 10 years. He started with a small expatriate service group in Southampton which, under his management, grew from one of the smallest regional tax offices in the UK to being second only to Birmingham in terms of size and revenues.

The core of the pan European business was employee tax compliance, including tax returns and payroll across every operational country in Europe.

A chartered accountant by training, Andrew spent the first 10 years of his career in a small 16 partner firm and is therefore well used to the demands of the SME sector.

Andrew is a business builder with unique experience of the HR services market. He is responsible for leadership of the executive group, mapping and delivery of strategy and will place particular emphasis on external market growth and success (both organic and through acquisition).

Director of Acquisitions & Offshore Processing - DP Sahni

DP has spent the majority of his career in the management of extensive family business interests in Europe, the US, India and Africa. He has considerable experience in deal structuring, negotiation and completion.

Over the last six years DP has had particular focus on the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) market. He has worked very closely with a number of India's most prominent technology and BPO houses and has specific interest in the HR Outsourcing (HRO) market.

DP has considerable experience in offshore processing and understands the operational realities of exporting rules based processing to India.

DP is responsible for all off-shoring arrangements; determining the most suitable offshore partners. He works closely with Andrew in concluding the Service Level Agreement (SLA) and effecting the implementation of the processes identified for export. DP has on going responsibility for the delivery from the offshore partner and performance under the SLA.

In addition, DP works closely with Andrew in the identification of, and approach to, acquisition targets. He assists in business case construction, negotiation with vendors and taking the transaction through to deal completion.

Director of Finance - Lee Colliss

Lee joined KCS in 2003 as Finance Director for the group. Lee's background has been in various well known organisations across many industries: including telecoms (Cable and Wireless), sciences (Fisons, Glaxo) and beverages (Coca-Cola).

Lee has extensive experience in re-engineering financial and operational processes in fast growing organisations. Prior to KCS, he was responsible for financially managing and integrating three separate businesses, helping the company to grow from £8m turnover to £60m, and from 30 employees to 350 in just over three years.

Lee's experience lies across a wide spectrum; Financial and Management Accounts, Forecasts, Budgets and Business Plans, Internal Controls and Procedures, Installing and Developing Accounting Systems, and Acquisition Due Diligence and Integration.

Since joining KCS he has played a strategic role working with the Board on its aggressive acquisition activity. KCS growth continues to outperform similar businesses in its market.
