KCS Rightsource's Time and Attendance Access Control module is an electronic access control mechanism that replaces the conventional key system. The module handles the access of employees to the company's premises and controls the authorisation for each employee to different buildings and departments. Being an on-line system, changes in access and set-up may come into effect immediately or instructions may be stored in a time queue for implementation at a later date.
Being a client/server product, the application is built so that the access control system is administered from one central database and communicates via standard LAN Ethernet network. The LAN door unit offers the latest technology and monitors one door. In addition, it can be configured with an extra point to be able to monitor two doors (TWIN door unit), so those entering and leaving can be monitored to provide an overview of an individual's location. Access devices availability includes Proximity, Mifare and Magnetic cards as well as Pin Code keyboards. Security levels may be raised by combining ID cards and PIN code after certain hours, or the same combination could be used to secure sensitive areas.
Access Control can be implemented as an independent access control system or integrated with other Time and Attendance modules for Time and Attendance and project registration.
